# new year, new look
BlogThe world can truly be a small place today. I wanted to refresh the look of my website and puttered around online for someone who could help. A third-party digital platform that works like Amazon.com connected me to a freelancer in Nepal. The platform rates service providers, provides a secure messaging system, and holds payment in escrow so each side can trust that payment will be made at the appropriate time. Technology allowed two complete strangers to overcome the challenges posed by time, space, and trust. While face time remains important, this project reminded me that there is more that we can do together, both professionally and personally, regardless of who we are or where we might be. For those interested in checking out the refreshed site, welcome in! lawdaryl.com #newyearnewlook

Happy Thanksgiving!; Remembering Don Dunner
BlogHappy Thanksgiving! Some in the IP community shared with IPWatchdog what or who they were thankful for. Some extolled IP education, others identified strong leadership at the USTPO and IP associations, the patent bar, inventors, as well as developments in Europe and China. These were all well-chosen. For me, 2019 will always be connected with Don Dunner's life and legacy.
