NAPP writes on Takeaways from AI Roundtable

Delighted to share the first in a series of posts by Jessie Suen, who represented the National Association of Patent Practitioners at our recent roundtable on AI. In these posts, she discusses her takeaways (subject to the Chatham House rules in place during the roundtable). http://bit.ly/2sKcFzh

Happy Thanksgiving!; Remembering Don Dunner

Happy Thanksgiving! Some in the IP community shared with IPWatchdog what or who they were thankful for. Some extolled IP education, others identified strong leadership at the USTPO and IP associations, the patent bar, inventors, as well as developments in Europe and China. These were all well-chosen.

For me, 2019 will always be connected with Don Dunner’s life and legacy.

IPWatchdog covers 63rd Annual IP Conference, Participants share their key takeaways

We were honored to have IPWatchdog cover our 63rd Annual IP Conference. A special thanks to participants who shared their takeaways from the event. It is encouraging to hear that the Conference continues to serve its core mission in bringing together leaders from government, the judiciary, academia, practice, nonprofits, interest groups, and students, to build bridges and make meaningful progress together toward overcoming the challenges we face.

USPTO Tweet

Another pleasant surprise. A colleague shared with me this tweet by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) featuring Director Andrei Iancu and Chief Policy Officer (CPO) and Director for International Affairs Shira Perlmutter at our 63rd Annual IP Conference

Legal Realism & IP

JMLS, in conjunction with Fordham Law School and Texas A&M School of Law, is considering hosting an event centered on legal realism and IP.

Thank you!

Behind every event is a team that has worked tirelessly behind scenes to make things happen. Our 63rd Annual IP Conference is no exception.

Serving on @IPLAChicago’s Board allows us to visit Board Members at their workplace. @Marshallip, one of the top IP firms in the nation, is perched on the 63rd floor of Willis Tower, commanding a magnificent view of Chicago.
