OGC University 2023 | Assessing the Legal Aspects of AI

The Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of General Counsel (OGC) represents 36 executive and independent agencies across the Commonwealth. OGC University is a two-day event consisting of CLE presentations on various topics. Looking forward to joining Jennifer Selber Vera Kanova Harrison MacRae Valerie Janosik-Nehilla, and Andy Ritter next week for a discussion on the need to regulate AI from legal, data privacy, and data security perspectives.

Dayna Bowen Matthew, JD, PhD Matthew is the Dean and Harold H. Greene Professor of Law at The George Washington University Law School. Dean Matthew is a leader in public health and civil rights law who focuses on disparities in health, health care, and the social determinants of health. Federal Practice Institute 2023 | AI in Trial Practice

The Pennsylvania Bar Association Federal Practice Committee, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and Penn State Dickinson Law present the Federal Practice Institute, designed especially for attorneys who litigate in federal court in Pennsylvania.

Using a hypothetical case, federal judges in the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, academics, and seasoned practitioners review key procedures and practices in federal practice. I’ll be discussing the impact of AI on trial practice and look forward to meeting the Pennsylvania bench and bar.

The Asian Intellectual Property Scholars Roundtable brings together scholars of Asian intellectual property and technology law, providing them with a forum for sharing research and peer networking. It is jointly organized by the Asian Law Center at the University of Washington School of Law and the Center for Law and Intellectual Property at Texas A&M University School of Law.

In addition to the usual work-in-progress presentations, this interdisciplinary roundtable will feature extended Q&A sessions and commentary and advice offered by established scholars.
