UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law’s 8th Annual IP Scholars’ Roundtable
Delighted to speak at UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law’s 8th Annual IP Scholars’ Roundtable. Over two days, scholars from across the U.S. and Canada debated the legal implications of their research on commerce, social justice, creativity, innovation, culture, and more. See details here: http://bit.ly/2LVScyu.
Academic gatherings like these are important. They strengthen people-to-people ties between law schools, sharpen scholarship, and emphasize our collective responsibility to help policymakers, judges, and practitioners reach better legal outcomes.
It was my first visit to Franklin Pierce. The law school was one of the pioneers in IP education and its reputation for being an “IP Powerhouse” is well-deserved. See http://bit.ly/2VD0rCZ. Glad to also meet patent examiners from CNIPA, who were visiting scholars at Franklin Pierce.
Thanks again to Dean Megan Carpenter for her warm welcome, and to Professor Ann Bartow for putting together what one participant rightly called “a marvelous mix of scholarship and camaraderie.”
