Research & Innovation Faculty & Staff Roundtable | ‘Connecting the Dots: From Ideas to Impact’ Student Dialogue

Delighted to welcome a distinguished group of faculty colleagues from across the country to Penn State Dickinson Law for our second annual Research and Innovation Roundtable and student dialogue on ‘Connecting the Dots: From Ideas to Impact.’ Both events featured Professor Xuan-Thao Nguyen Professor Carliss Chatman, Associate Dean Dara Purvis, and Professor Peter Yu.

In highly interactive sessions, we discussed using ChatGPT in scholarship, looked at sample abstracts (some generated by ChatGPT!) to learn what made them effective (or not), publishing strategies, marketing scholarship, and more.

A thank you to Dean Danielle Conway for providing the institutional leadership, perspectives, and support that gave the events “heart and soul.” A thank you also to the speakers and my colleagues for joining us in person and remotely with great questions and comments. Last but certainly not least, thank you to our JD, LLM, and SJD students for participating. Some even participated two years in a row or two sessions in a row that afternoon! It was a great community learning experience. Penn State Dickinson Law Penn State Law SMU Dedman School of Law University of Washington School of Law Texas A&M University School of Law
