For this episode of Penn State Dickinson Law‘s “Profiles in Leadership” series, I sat down with Katie Moussouris, a computer hacker with over 20 years of professional cybersecurity experience and the founder and CEO of Luta Security.

We spoke about her commencement address to Penn State University‘s Information Sciences and Technology (IST) College’s Class of 2024, bug bounties, communication, and convening talent.

Katie shared how she deploys humor in her work and how she started learning BASIC at the tender age of eight. Katie’s surprising story behind her iconic pink hair was another interesting topic we touched upon. We also discussed Luta Security, the company she founded and now leads, what leadership succession looks like to her and the most important leadership lesson she learned.
