Patent Master Class in April Offers Unique Mix of Interactivity and a Deep Dive with Nationally Recognized Experts

Patent practitioners today lock horns in diverse fora, each with its own rules and norms. For instance, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board’s (PTAB) post-grant proceedings often have analogs in the district courts, but the rules and procedures are markedly different.

The same may be said of the International Trade Commission (ITC), a Federal agency with a “rocket docket” that deals with matters involving patents and trade, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, which hears appeals from all three lower tribunals.

Savvy practitioners appreciate the nuances and fundamental differences in each forum and can more successfully strategize to serve their clients’ needs.

For the first time, patent practitioners, corporate counsel, and others interested in learning strategies and best practices enjoy front row access to nationally recognized practitioners as well as both sitting and former judges in the PTAB, ITC, district courts, and Federal Circuit.

UIC John Marshall Law School’s Center for Intellectual Property (IP), Information & Privacy Law is proud to offer its “IP Master Class” on Friday, April 16. This one-day, intensive CLE program caps enrollment to facilitate participant interaction with the faculty. Up to a third of each session will be dedicated to responding to audience Q&A. Audience members can virtually join the discussion in real-time as they would during a live seminar.
