Global IP Spotlight Series | INTA
Great start to my time in New York recording another episode of Practising Law Institute (PLI)‘s new series, “Global IP Spotlight,” this time with the senior leadership team from the International Trademark Association (INTA). The series aims to showcase key governmental and non-governmental IP organizations around the world. Each episode exclusively features one organization.
Enjoyed my conversation with INTA CEO Etienne Sanz de Acedo, President-Elect Elisabeth Stewart Bradley, Chief Advocacy Officer Heather Steinmeyer, and INTA Political Action Committee Chair Erin Hennessy. Topics included:
– AI implications for trademark and other IP rights;
– Quebec Bill 96;
– The growing impact of health and environmental regulations on IP rights;
– Combatting the sale of counterfeits through online marketplaces.
– Work underway to develop INTA’s 2026-29 Strategic Plan.
Thanks to PLI’s team, including Kenneth Min and Elizabeth Harris, for the magic that happens behind the camera.
Those interested can catch an earlier episode featuring the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) featuring Stanley Lai, SC Sandy Widjaja and Adriana Uson.
