Global IP Alliance Inaugural Conference | Diversity Equity Inclusion

Honored to be invited to speak at the inaugural Global Intellectual Property Alliance (GLIPA) Conference held at Georgia State University College of Law.

This conference focuses on the need to work collaboratively to strengthen innovation ecosystems around the world for the benefit of people by promoting increased awareness, regional dialogue, and networking on key IP issues. It aims to build a collaborative, long-term, action-oriented agenda with committed stakeholders, notably public and private sector actors, academia, and others, to bring IP to the hands of everyone around the world.

Elizabeth Lester Gwilym Roberts Micheal Binns, Esq. Maria Cecilia Romoleroux Akiko Kosaka, and I addressed diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts around the world, one of GLIPA’s three pillars. I spoke on the “National Strategy on Inclusive Innovation” the USPTO and U.S. Department of Commerce released earlier this month and highlighted clear and specific ways stakeholders can help students, women, and aliens assimilate into the innovation ecosystem, contribute to the economy, and help address global challenges.

Congratulations to United States Intellectual Property Alliance – USIPA and GLIPA Co-Founder Scott Frank, Nikhil Marathe, and Maria Fernanda Hurtado. Scott also serves on our advisory board at Penn State Dickinson Law‘s IP and Innovation Initiative.
