Don Dunner
Our Chair, Don Dunner, passed away this morning.
When I became Director in 2015, we reconstituted our advisory board. Those of us who knew Don agreed from the start that he was the obvious choice to be Chair. He was the dean of the patent bar and had outstanding professional accomplishments and personal qualities. His friendship, advice, and support over the past 4 years were instrumental in our achievements.
Don also had remarkable energy and enthusiasm that was infectious. Despite his illness, he came to John Marshall earlier this year to teach a two-day intensive course on the Federal Circuit. It was excellent and we were fortunate to have been able to record an excerpt of Don doing one of the things he loved to do most – talking about the Federal Circuit: http://bit.ly/dunnerCAFC
I enjoyed the opportunity to have dinner with Don and Lisa, who now serves on our board.
Don will be missed by many.
