IPLAC Board of Managers celebrates Magistrate Judge Sidney Schenkier

The Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago, better known as IPLAC, dates back to 1884 and is the oldest IP law association in the United States. Over the years, IPLAC has maintained a warm partnership with the federal judiciary.

Last week, I had the privilege of joining other members of IPLAC’s board of managers to celebrate the career, achievements, and contributions of Magistrate Judge Sid Schenkier.

There was a strong showing from UIC John Marshall. Immediate past president Adam Kelly (Loeb & Loeb) is an alum and serves on our Center’s advisory board, RiKaleigh Johnson (Greer, Burns & Crain) is also an alum, and Kevin Noonan (MBHB) is an adjunct and regular speaker at our events.

Also joining us from the federal judiciary was Hon. Rebecca Pallmeyer, Chief Judge of the Northern District of Illinois. We look forward to welcoming Chief Judge Pallmeyer as a speaker to our 64th Annual IP Conference on Friday, Nov. 13, 2020.
