Shanghai

Looking forward to joining Hugh Hansen and He Jing at Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s KoGuan Law School next week. The Law School, one of China’s oldest and largest, counts law schools at Cornell, Emory, Iowa, Northwestern, and the National University of Singapore among its institutional partners.

Hugh will speak on IP and legal realism, including the central role of judges in making IP policy. I’ll be speaking on U.S. developments affecting the AI and 5G race, as well as the Oracle-Google case currently before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Joining us will be Dean Kong Xiangjun, Professors Zhang Chenguo, and Hou Liyang, as well as Tongji University Professor Yuan Xiuting. It will be a great opportunity to hear firsthand from these experts and learn about developments in China as well.

If you’ll be in Shanghai next week, I hope to see you there!
