PSDL-UTS | Faculty Scholarship Exchange

I am pleased to share a new partnership between Penn State Dickinson Law and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), establishing a reciprocal virtual faculty scholarship exchange.

The initiative grew out of conversations with UTS Interim Dean Isabella Alexander during my visit to Sydney in August. I am grateful to Interim Dean Sarah J. Williams for her support.

Our aim is to create a sustained forum for faculty to share research, engage with scholars working in different legal systems, and explore opportunities for collaboration.

We are delighted to welcome UTS Associate Dean Marcelle Burns for the inaugural presentation on November 9, with Professor Ramona Vijeyarasa also participating in a future session.

On the Penn State Dickinson Law side, I am especially pleased that my colleagues Shaakirrah R. Sanders, Jeffrey A. Dodge, and Lucy Johnston-Walsh will be sharing their scholarship.

International partnerships are most valuable when they move beyond individual visits and become enduring intellectual relationships. The virtual format makes it possible to sustain those conversations across continents.

For Penn State Dickinson Law, this is another opportunity to combine the strengths of our faculty community with the global reach of Penn State.

I look forward to seeing the relationships and research collaborations that emerge from this exchange.
