Edison Fellowship

Back from a very fruitful meeting with Edison Fellows and Senior Commentators at George Mason this week. The Edison Fellowship is a year-long non-resident fellowship program that brings a small group of scholars together to develop research papers on patent law and policy with the input from academic leaders in the field.

These exchanges help build a collaborative culture between institutions across the United States and between the United States and institutes abroad. These meetings also provide a valuable opportunity to learn from each other’s experiences and perspectives.

Many thanks to George Mason University’s Center for the Protection of IP for their leadership. As far as I know, the Edison Fellowship is unique, but something this good should be both a model and inspiration for leading IP institutions to emulate.
