Profiles in Leadership | WIPO’s Lisa Jorgenson

After a long career in the private sector, Lisa Jorgenson took up leadership of World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO‘s #Patents and Technology Sector in 2020, overseeing an area that includes the administration of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) – the International Patent System. Her appointment as the first female Deputy Director General of the Patents and Technology Sector has sent a powerful message about WIPO’s focus on #inclusivity. She has been a passionate advocate for women and for closing the gender gap in IP and technology for over 30 years. As a leader, Deputy Director General Jorgenson is deeply committed to advancing #women in innovative and creative sectors. Working towards a more balanced and #equitable IP landscape has been one of her top priorities. She joined me for a wide-ranging fireside to share her professional journey and lessons on leadership.
