Atlanta | IP Alliances & Emory
The United States Intellectual Property Alliance – USIPA and Global Intellectual Property Alliance launched in Atlanta this week. I am honored to serve on both organizations’ founding boards and enable Penn State Dickinson Law to contribute to their very important work.
The Alliances bring together regional, national and local stakeholders committed to building efficient, effective and collaborative IP ecosystems that transform ideas into realities that uplift lives and livelihoods. They work to promote diversity, equity, and inclusive innovation for all people, especially underrepresented and marginalized groups. In my concurrent role on the education committee, I work closely with my co-chairs to connect with educators interested in how they can integrate results-oriented IP training and skills development into the K-12, university, and other education systems in the US worldwide.
Delighted to catch up with friends at Emory University School of Law during my trip. I am grateful that our ties, some stretching over a decade, have endured, and I look forward to exploring opportunities to collaborate in our new roles. Also pleased to meet Matthew Lawrence, who joined Emory from Dickinson Law in 2020.
